When construing a registered easement, physical characteristics of the servient and dominant tenements at the time of the grant which were reasonably ascertainable by a third party may be taken into account, limited to broad and reasonably enduring characteristics observable from outside the properties or from publicly available maps, but not fine details of fixtures or material obtainable only through freedom of information searches.
