In a judge alone trial, a trial judge is not required to include reasons explaining why a Markuleski direction did not need to be applied where the complainant's evidence was accepted on all counts; nor is a Liberato direction required where the judge has correctly directed himself on onus and there is no risk of impermissible reasoning.
