An applicant seeking an extension of time to lodge an objection to a miscellaneous licence application under reg 146(2) of the Mining Regulations 1981 (WA) is not required to adduce evidence supporting the merits of the proposed objection to any particular level, including a 'prima facie level'; the merits of the proposed objection may be considered as one factor among many in the multifactorial assessment of whether the further period sought is 'reasonable'.
