Adoptions outside Australia—general

In force

(1)

The adoption of a person in a country outside Australia (whether before or after the commencement of this section) does not have effect as an adoption for the law of the Territory, except as provided for in this part.

(2)

However, nothing in this part affects any right that was acquired by, or became vested in, a person before the commencement of this part.
