114 Damage etc to be minimised
In the exercise, or purported exercise, of a function under this part, an authorised person must take reasonable steps to ensure that they, and any person assisting them, cause as little inconvenience, detriment and damage as is practicable.
If an authorised person, or a person assisting them, damages anything in the exercise or purported exercise of a function under this part, the authorised person must give written notice of the details of the damage to the person who they believe on reasonable grounds is the owner of the thing.
If the damage occurs on premises entered under this part in the absence of the occupier, the notice may be given by securing it in a conspicuous place at the premises.
