Arrest for failure to comply with bail condition

In force

(1)

This section applies if—

(a)

a person has been granted bail in the ACT or a State; and

Note State includes the Northern Territory (see Legislation Act, dict, pt 1).

(b)

a police officer believes on reasonable grounds that the person—

(i)

has failed to comply with a bail condition; or

(ii)

will not comply with a bail condition.

(2)

A police officer may, without a warrant, arrest the person.
