Casino Control Act 2006

The casino licensee may change the control procedures by written notice given to the commission.

The notice must—

state the date when the casino licensee proposes to commence the change to the control procedures; and

be given at least 1 week before that date.

However, the commission may accept the notice even if it is not given in accordance with subsection (2) (b).

On receiving a notice under subsection (1), the commission may, by written notice given to the casino licensee—

approve or reject the proposed change; or

direct the casino licensee to include other changes; or

direct the casino licensee to change the control procedures in another way; or

direct the casino licensee to change the date for the change to commence; or

ask for further information or clarification about the proposed change; or

tell the casino licensee that a further stated reasonable time is needed to consider the proposed change.

If the commission gives a notice under subsection (4) (e)—

the notice must state a reasonable time within which the information or clarification must be given; and

the commission must not make a decision under subsection (4) (a) to (d) until—

the commission has received the information or clarification; or

the time stated for giving the information or clarification has ended.

The commission is taken to have approved the proposed change if a notice under subsection (4) is not given to the casino licensee within 1 week after the day the commission receives the notice under subsection (1).

The commission may, at any time on its own initiative and by written notice given to the casino licensee, direct the casino licensee to make a stated change to the control procedures.
