Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2020

The Minister may give written directions to the authority about the exercise of its functions.

Before giving a direction, the Minister must—

tell the authority, in writing, of the proposed direction; and

give the authority a reasonable opportunity to comment on the proposed direction; and

consider any comments made by the authority.

The Minister must present a copy of a direction given under this section to the Legislative Assembly within 6 sitting days after it is given to the authority.

The authority must comply with the direction given to it by the Minister under this section.

For the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cwlth), this Act authorises—

the giving of a direction under this section; and

the doing of, or the failure to do, anything by the authority to comply with a direction given to the authority by the Minster under this section.
