Construction Occupations (Licensing) Act 2004

An inspector is responsible for inspecting the work undertaken by a licensee for compliance with this Act, the operational Acts and other legislation which applies to building assessors.

A reference to an Act includes a reference to the statutory instruments made or in force under the Act, including any regulation (see Legislation Act, s 104).

Subsection (1) applies only to work for which a person must be licensed under this Act.

An inspector has any other function given to the inspector by the registrar.

An inspector must exercise the inspector’s functions in accordance with—

the instrument of appointment; and

any directions the registrar gives the inspector.
