3156 Adoption order—application
An application for an adoption order may be made—
by the proposed adoptive parent or parents; or
if the order is for the adoption of a child or young person—on behalf of the proposed adoptive parent or parents, by—
the CYP director-general; or
the principal officer of a private adoption agency.

The application for an order for the adoption of a child or young person must be—
supported by an affidavit in accordance with rule 3157; and
accompanied by the documents required under rule 3158.
The application for an order for the adoption of a person 18 years old or older must be supported by an affidavit in accordance with rule 3157A.
