263 Traversing indictment
(1)
No traverse shall in any case be allowed, or trial postponed, or time to plead to the indictment given, unless the court shall so order.
(2)
If the judge is of opinion that the accused ought to be allowed time, either to prepare for his or her defence, or otherwise, the judge shall postpone the trial on the terms that the judge considers appropriate, and may respite the recognisances of the prosecutor and witnesses accordingly.
