74 Prohibition of female genital mutilation
(1)
A person shall not intentionally perform female genital mutilation on another person.
Maximum penalty: imprisonment for 15 years.
(2)
It is not a defence to a prosecution for an offence against this section that the person on whom the female genital mutilation was performed, or a parent or guardian of that person, consented to the mutilation.
