Assumed identity may be acquired and used

In force

(1)

An authorised officer may acquire an assumed identity if the acquisition is—

(a)

in accordance with an authority; and

(b)

in the course of duty.

(2)

An authorised officer may use an assumed identity if the use is—

(a)

in accordance with an authority or for a controlled operation; and

(b)

in the course of duty.

(3)

An authorised civilian may acquire an assumed identity if the acquisition is in accordance with—

(a)

an authority; and

(b)

any direction by the civilian’s supervisor under the authority.

(4)

An authorised civilian may use an assumed identity if the use is––

(a)

in accordance with an authority or for a controlled operation; and

(b)

in accordance with any direction by the civilian’s supervisor under the authority.
