134 Power to require name and address
An authorised person or a police officer may require a person to state the person’s name and address if the authorised person or police officer—
finds a person committing an offence against this Act; or
reasonably believes that a person has just committed an offence against this Act.
If an authorised person makes a requirement under subsection (1), the authorised person must—
tell the person of the reasons for the requirement; and
as soon as possible, record those reasons.
A person must not, without reasonable excuse, contravene a requirement under subsection (1).
Maximum penalty: 15 penalty units.
A person is not required to comply with a requirement under subsection (1) if, when asked by the person, the authorised person does not produce the authorised person’s identity card.
