21 Multiple dog licences—conditions
The registrar may issue a multiple dog licence on conditions stated in the licence.
In making a decision whether or not to impose a condition on a multiple dog licence, the registrar must consider the following:
the number and kind of dogs to which the application relates;
the size and nature of the premises where it is proposed to keep the dogs;
the potential impact on the occupiers of neighbouring premises;
the safety of the public and other animals.
Subsection (2) does not limit the matters the registrar may consider.
The conditions may include—
a condition prescribed by regulation; and
any other condition the registrar considers appropriate.
A person commits an offence if the person fails to comply with a condition of a multiple dog licence.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
