Criminal liability of the Territory

In force

The Territory is liable for an offence against this Act.

Note This Act binds all governments, including the Commonwealth (see Legislation Act, s 121 (1) and the Australian Capital Territory (Self‑Government) Regulations 2021 (Cwlth)). However, this Act does not make a government (other than the Territory) liable to be prosecuted for an offence (see Legislation Act, s 121 (3)).
