55 Police interview audiovisual recording—access to accused person

(1)

This section applies if an accused person, or the person’s lawyer, gives notice under section 54 requesting access to an audiovisual recording.

(2)

The responsible person must give the person who gave notice access to see and listen to the audiovisual recording as soon as practicable after receiving the notice under section 54.

(3)

The person who gave notice may have access to an audiovisual recording more than once.

(4)

The accused person, and the person’s lawyer, must not be given, or take a copy of, an audiovisual recording.
