8 Proceedings to which pt 2.2 applies

This part applies to—

(a)

a proceeding in the Supreme Court—

(i)

for a trial on indictment in relation to the alleged commission of an offence against a law in force in the ACT; or

(ii)

for the passing of sentence in relation to the commission of an offence against a law in force in the ACT; or

(iii)

by way of an appeal from a conviction, order, sentence or other decision of the Magistrates Court in a proceeding in relation to which this part applies; or

(b)

a proceeding in the Magistrates Court on an information in relation to the alleged commission, or commission, of an offence against a law in force in the ACT; or

(c)

a proceeding under the Family Violence Act 2016; or

(d)

a proceeding under the care and protection chapters of the Children and Young People Act 2008; or

(e)

a proceeding by way of an inquest or inquiry in the Coroner’s Court.
