18 Declaration of exempt species
(1)
The conservator may declare a species of fish to be an exempt species (an exempt species declaration).
(2)
In making an exempt species declaration, the conservator must consider—
(a)
the need to protect native species in the ACT; and
(b)
the need to conserve the significant ecosystems of the ACT, NSW and Australia.
(3)
An exempt species declaration is a disallowable instrument.
