192 False or misleading information or document
A person must not—
in connection with an application made to the regulator under this Act; or
in compliance or purported compliance with this Act;
do either of the following:
give information (whether orally or in writing) that the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular;
produce a document that the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular without—
indicating to the person to whom the document is produced that it is false or misleading, and how it is false or misleading; and
providing correct information to the person to whom the document is produced, if the person producing the document is in possession of, or can reasonably acquire, the correct information.
Maximum penalty: 60 penalty units, imprisonment for 1 year or both.
