28 Power to seize certain things—the Law, s 552
(1)
An authorised officer may impound or seize an excluded thing under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (ACT), chapter 9 (Enforcement) as if it were a thing that may otherwise be seized under chapter 9.
Note A similar power under the Crimes Act 1900, pt 10 (Criminal investigation) may be used instead (see that Act, s 186).

In this section:
excluded thing means—
(a)
a heavy vehicle; or
(b)
a thing mentioned in the Heavy Vehicle National Law (ACT), section 552 (1) (b).
