79 Identity cards
The director‑general must give each authorised person an identity card that states the person’s name and appointment as an authorised person, and shows—
a recent photograph of the person; and
the date of issue of the card; and
the date of expiry of the card; and
anything else prescribed under the regulations.
A person commits an offence if—
the person ceases to be an authorised person; and
the person does not return the person’s identity card to the director‑general as soon as practicable (but within 7 days) after the day the person ceases to be an authorised person.
Maximum penalty: 1 penalty unit.
An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
