27 Human rights commissioner’s functions
The human rights commissioner has the following functions:
to exercise functions for the commission in relation to human rights;
to exercise any other function given to the commissioner under this Act or any other territory law.
The functions of the commission in relation to human rights include the following:
to provide education about human rights and the Human Rights Act 2004; and
to advise the Minister on anything relevant to the operation of the Human Rights Act 2004.
The exercise of the function mentioned in subsection (1) (a) is subject to any decision of the commission about the exercise of its functions in relation to human rights.
