12 Arrangements with other agencies, bodies and people
The commission may enter into arrangements with any government agency or with any other body or person (whether in the public or private sector)—
for the agency, body or person to assist the commission in relation to investigations or the exercise of other functions of the commission; or
for the commission to assist the agency, body or person by providing services within the commission’s field of expertise and relevant to its functions.
The commission must not enter into an arrangement to assist an agency, body or person without the Minister’s written approval.
In entering into an arrangement to assist an agency, body or person, the commission must ensure that the provision of the assistance does not interfere with the ability of the commission to exercise its functions.
The commission may engage consultants to assist it in exercising its functions.
The commission may charge an agency, body or person for the provision of assistance by the commission.
