52 Lights for boats at anchor on a lake at night
(1)
The operator of a boat commits an offence if the boat—
(a)
is at anchor on a lake at night or when visibility is restricted; and
(b)
does not show an all round white light.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2)
This section does not apply to a boat less than 7m in length if the boat is not in or near a narrow channel, fairway or anchorage or in an area where other boats normally navigate.
Note The defendant has an evidential burden in relation to the matters mentioned in s (2) (see Criminal Code, s 58).
