If a law changes the name of a position established under a law, the position continues in existence under the new name and its identity is not affected by the change.

If the name of a position is changed, a reference in a law to the position by its previous name is taken, after the change, to be a reference to the position by its new name.

To remove any doubt, subsection (2) applies to all positions, whether or not in or for the Territory, including positions established under a law of another jurisdiction.
