70 Making of amendment restoring effect of law within 6 months after amendment
This section applies if a subordinate law or disallowable instrument (the amended law) is amended under section 68 (Amendment by resolution of Assembly).
A subordinate law or disallowable instrument the same in substance as the amended law before the amendment (the earlier law) must not be made within 6 months beginning on the day the amendment is made unless the Legislative Assembly has—
rescinded the resolution that made the amendment; or
by resolution approved the making of—
a subordinate law or disallowable instrument in those terms; or
a subordinate law or disallowable instrument the same in substance as the earlier law.
A subordinate law or disallowable instrument made in contravention of this section is void.
This section is a determinative provision.
