53 Interest rate

(1)

The interest rate is the sum of—

(a)

the discount rate component; and

(b)

the premium rate component.

(2)

The Minister must, after consultation with the governing board, make guidelines for determining the interest rate components mentioned in subsection (1).

(3)

A guideline is a disallowable instrument.

(4)

The governing board must—

(a)

in accordance with the guidelines, determine the interest rate; and

(b)

tell the Minister, in writing, about the determination.

(5)

A determination is a notifiable instrument.
