230 Meaning of respondent for motor accident claim—ch 5
In this chapter:
respondent, for a motor accident claim—
(a)
means a person against whom a claimant makes the motor accident claim; and
(b)
includes—
(i)
if the person mentioned in paragraph (a) is not the insurer for the motor accident claim—the insurer for the motor accident claim; and
(ii)
a person added as a later respondent under the Civil Law (Wrongs) Act 2002, section 55 (Claimant may add later respondents).
