341 Meaning of costs—pt 6.10
In this part:
costs, when used in reference to the costs of an insurer for a motor accident claim, includes—
the amount paid out by the insurer on the claim to the claimant or for the claimant’s benefit, including the cost to the insurer of paying the claimant’s reasonable and necessary treatment and care; and
the amounts paid by the insurer in investigating the claim and of litigation related to the claim, but not the insurer’s general administration costs.
costs, when used in reference to the costs of an insurer for an application for defined benefits by a person injured in a motor accident, includes—
the amount paid out by the insurer on the application to the applicant or for the applicant’s benefit, including the cost to the insurer of paying the applicant’s reasonable and necessary treatment and care; and
