55 Volunteer firefighters
Wages are exempt wages if they are paid or payable to an employee in relation to any period when the employee takes part in activities under the Emergencies Act 2004 as—
(a)
a volunteer member of the rural fire service; or
(b)
a volunteer member of a community fire unit.
