Planning Act 2023

As soon as practicable after making a territory priority project declaration, the Minister must present to the Legislative Assembly—

the declaration; and

a statement of the reasons for making the declaration.

The Legislative Assembly may, by resolution, approve or refuse to approve the declaration.

If the Legislative Assembly does not pass a resolution mentioned in subsection (2) within 2 sitting days after the declaration and statement is presented, the Assembly is taken to have approved the declaration.

A territory priority project declaration commences only after the declaration is—

approved by the Legislative Assembly under subsection (2); and

notified.
