89 Minor plan amendments—future urban areas
The territory planning authority may amend the territory plan under section 85 (Making minor plan amendments) to rezone land in a future urban area, and make or amend a district policy in relation to the land, unless the amendment is inconsistent with the principles and policies in the relevant district strategy.
The territory planning authority may amend the territory plan under section 85 to change the boundary of a future urban area if the change is consistent with the relevant district strategy.
However, the territory planning authority must not amend the territory plan under section 85 to change the boundary of a future urban area if part of the boundary proposed to be changed is aligned with the boundary of an existing leasehold.
