139 Re-employment of employee if unsuccessful election candidate
(1)
This section applies to a former employee if the former employee is an unsuccessful election candidate.
(2)
Within 2 months after the declaration of the result of the election, the former employee may ask the head of service, in writing, to be re‑employed.
(3)
After receiving a request under subsection (2), the head of service must employ the person in the same or a similar capacity with the same rate of pay as that payable to the person immediately before the person’s employment ended.
