35FA Payment of bond by new co-tenant—consecutive tenancy agreement
(1)
This section applies if—
(a)
a person (the new co-tenant) becomes a co-tenant under a consecutive tenancy agreement; and
(b)
a bond is held in relation to the residential tenancy agreement that terminates or is terminated; and
(c)
section 22 (3) applies to the bond in relation to the consecutive tenancy agreement.
(2)
The new co-tenant must, not more than 14 days after the day they become a co-tenant under the consecutive tenancy agreement—
(a)
pay to the other co-tenants the new co-tenant’s share of the bond under the agreement; and
(b)
notify the Territory that the new co-tenant has paid their share of the bond.
