29 Disposal of goods found on Territory controlled premises
(1)
Where goods have been placed in the possession of a public employee under section 28 (a), the Territory may—
(a)
in the case of perishable goods—dispose of them at any time by appropriation or destruction; or
(b)
in the case of any other goods—dispose of them by sale at any time after a period of 3 months commencing on the day on which they were placed in the possession of that employee.
(2)
Goods must not be sold under subsection (1) (b) if it would be impracticable or undesirable in the public interest to do so.
