Unlawful gambling agreements void

Current

An agreement, whether oral or in writing, relating to an unlawful game or unlawful betting is void and no action may be brought in a court to recover any money or other property that—

(a)

is alleged to have been won or lost on a bet in relation to the unlawful game or unlawful betting; or

(b)

has been given to a person as a stakeholder for an event on which a bet has been made in relation to the unlawful game or unlawful betting.
