Variation in Sex Characteristics (Restricted Medical Treatment) Act 2023

If the assessment committee gives a consultation notice under section 21—

anyone may give a written submission to the committee about the general treatment plan; and

the submission may be given to the committee only during the consultation period.

If any submissions are received during the consultation period, the assessment committee must publish the submissions on an ACT government website.

The following must not be published under subsection (2):

unless the assessment committee is satisfied that it is the prescribed person’s will and preference—

information that identifies the prescribed person; or

information that would allow the prescribed person’s identity to be worked out;

any information the assessment committee considers to be sensitive or prejudicial to an individual;

any information prescribed by regulation.
