28 Recognition payment for primary victim
(1)
A financial payment (a recognition payment) may be made to a primary victim for trauma experienced by the primary victim as a result of an act of violence.
(2)
A regulation may prescribe the following:
(a)
an offence in the course of which the act of violence must occur for a recognition payment to be made;
(b)
the amount of the recognition payment in relation to the offence.
