85 Director-general must keep register about supply and disposal of approved substances

(1)

The director-general must keep a register about the supply and disposal of approved substances for the purpose of contacting any person the director-general considers appropriate in relation to an approved substance that has been supplied under this Act.

(2)

The register—

(a)

must include any information prescribed by regulation; and

(b)

may include any other information the director‑general considers appropriate.

(3)

The director-general may correct any mistake, error or omission in the register.

(4)

The director-general may give information in the register to a relevant entity if—

(a)

the relevant entity requests the information; and

(b)

the director-general is satisfied that the information is relevant to the exercise of the relevant entity’s functions.

(5)

In this section:

medicines and poisons inspector—see the Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 2008, section 99.

relevant entity means—

(a)

the board; or

(b)

a medicines and poisons inspector.
