Water resources investigations—authority

In force

(1)

The authority may investigate the use of water taken from waterways for the purposes of protecting the Territory’s water resources and ensuring compliance with this Act.

(2)

For subsection (1), the authority may do anything mentioned in section 68 (2).

Note

The authority is an authorised officer (see Environment Protection Act 1997, s 14 (2)), and authorised officers have powers, such as to enter premises and to seize things, under this Act, div 10.2 (Powers of authorised officers).
