171 Payments out of DI fund
(1)
A claim for payment, other than a claim for payment for an injury that is an imminently fatal asbestos‑related disease, may only be paid if the terms of settlement of the claim are approved.
(2)
The terms of settlement of a claim for payment may be approved by—
(a)
if they provide for payment of a lump sum to the claimant for an injury that is not an imminently fatal asbestos‑related disease—the Magistrates Court; or
(b)
in any other case—the DI fund manager.
