The FAA sponsored Ageing Fleet Conference was tasked with identifying and implementing procedures to ensure the continuing airworthiness of high time aircraft. This AD requires modifications in lieu of those inspections which were considered to not be as effective as desired. The initial issue of this AD referenced FAA AD
90-06-09. This amendment also references FAA AD 94-05-04 which, in turn, references D6-54860 Revision G, and adds Appendices A.3, B.3 and C.3 modifications.
