1. The equipment manufacturer has detected incorrect lamps fitted to detectors returned to them for repair. 28 volt lamps which are physically interchangeable with the correct lamp will render the smoke detector inoperative.
2. This Directive is raised in issue to reflect the Autronics Corporations requirement for General Instrument Corporation P/No CM 382 AS10 or CM 382 AS15 lamp fitment only.
