The FAA has issued a Directive in response to reports that a vendor to BHTI produced and directly distributed 156 M/R grips which by-passed the FAA-approved quality control system. As a result, these M/R grips are potentially unsafe and must be removed from service. The effective date required by the FAA is extended by two months.
