Cracks and corrosion on the spigot housing plate at the wing/fuselage forward-
attachment sliding-joint, have been reported on an in-service Jetstream 3100 aircraft. Amendment 1 split the inspection of the spigot from the inspection of the spigot housing plate in order to ease operator workload, and added new compliance instructions for repeat inspections.
Amendment 2 is issued in response to a revision of the Requirement document which introduces several changes including an optional ultrasonic test and an extension of compliance.
