Both wing/fuselage forward attachment sliding joint spigots seized on the fatigue test specimen during tests. An investigation revealed that the failure was due to inadequate lubrication between the spigot and bush. On the fatigue test specimen this had led to cracks in the spigot housing plate. Amendment 1 corrected the drilling and reaming instructions of the previous issue.
Amendment 2 is issued in response to a revision of the requirement document which may require further work for operators.
