Background Background
The FAA has received reports of moisture causing corrosion on electronic circuit boards of the flight control system, the moisture having entered the circuit boards through the pitch servo. This moisture could possibly lead to undesired movement of the elevators. Compliance with this Directive will prevent moisture from entering the circuit board through the pitch servo. The effective date required by the FAA is extended by approximately one month for Australian registered aircraft.
