29 Trial without pleadings
If a defendant in a proceeding has entered an appearance, the court may, on application, if it is satisfied that the proceeding can conveniently be tried without pleadings or without further pleadings, as the case may be:
(a)
order that the proceeding be tried without pleadings or without further pleadings, as the case may be;
(b)
order that the pleadings be limited as specified in the order; and
(c)
give directions as to the further conduct of the proceeding.
