37 Appointment of CEO
(1)
The Chief Executive Officer of the ACC is to be appointed by the Governor‑General by written instrument.
(2)
Before the Governor‑General makes such an appointment, the Minister must:
(a)
invite the Board to make nominations for appointment; and
(b)
consult the members of the Inter‑Governmental Committee in relation to the appointment.
(3)
The CEO holds office for the period specified in the instrument of appointment. The period must not exceed 5 years.
(4)
The CEO is to be appointed on a full‑time basis.
